Bocca d’Ardole - Corno della Paura - Monte Vignola

The Peace Route on Monte Baldo, Trentino

<p>The route starts from Camping Polsa and goes through the pastures of Malga Susine, then up to Bocca d’Ardole. Here, the view over the Vallagarina and the town of Avio dominated by the medieval FAI castle is priceless.</p> <p>With a short detour, you can visit the military tunnels dug into the rocky walls of Corno della Paura and then reach the artillery on top. Then resume the return route along the military road overlooking the Adige Valley until you reach Monte Vignola and its Austrian fortresses. It is an easy downhill return to Polsa di Brentonico. A circular route, free of particular difficulties, therefore suitable for everyone.</p> <p>In spring look for the little hidden treasures in the fields, such as the red lily, blue gentians, and orchids that brighten up the landscape with their colors. Along the path you can also see some green bushes like rhododendron and blueberry. On the highest rocks you might be lucky to find one of the rarest flowers of this mountain, the silver geranium.</p>
