Ascent to Pioverna Alta
An ancient alpine hut at 1730 m altitude that gives its name to the mountain, Monte Pioverna Alta. We are in the heart of the Alpe Cimbra, on the heights that crown the Passo Coe mountain pass. From here the 360° panorama stretches over the most beautiful peaks of Lower Trentino.
It is not exactly a walk, but neither a particularly demanding hike. The only stretch requiring some effort is the short uphill section that connects Bocca di Val Orsara to the southwestern edge of the Pioverna plateau. Malga Pioverna Alta does not offer refreshments, for which accommodations are available upon return at Passo Coe.
