Art Trail

A route through the woods and villages of Alta Vallagarina, rich in culture, history and nature, passing between Calliano, Besenello and Volano.

<p>The Art Trail is a 10 km route through the woods and villages of Alta Vallagarina. It is a route rich in cultural, historical and naturalistic touches the municipalities of Besenello, Calliano and Volano. The trekking is immersed in nature on dirt road and easy to walk, also suitable for families, but not strollers. Along the route you can see the Church of San Rocco, a jewel frescoed of '400, the ancient bird-catching cages dating back to the first half of the 20th century on the Dos dei Ovi in Volano and immerse yourself in medieval Vallagarina by observing the imposing structures of Castel Pietra and Castel Beseno.</p> <p>It is possible to go to the discovery of the water sources of Albiolo and Rio Cavallo where, during the summer, you will have the opportunity to dive for a refreshing dip near the Zambel waterfalls in Calliano. If you want to explore the route in company, every year on the first Sunday of September you will have the opportunity to participate in La Magnalonga dell'Alta Vallagarina, a food and wine walk that takes place right along the Path of Art.</p>
