<p>A glacial origin amphitheater, the Ciampac basin is the best you could ask for from a day on the snow with snowshoes. Alone or accompanied by a mountain guide, the route is a privileged stage, step by step, on the Dolomites of Sella and Pordoi up to the Marmolada, inside a theater of dark rocks, those of Crepa Neigra. Because here, once there was a volcano. The basin is inhabited by mouflons, chamois, ermine, foxes, and hares that truly leave recognizable tracks on the snow.
