9 - Rosspach Route
The German-Cimbrian settlers who reached the mountain of Folgaria translated some of the place names already present in the area, among these the name of the Rio Cavallo stream, which in Cimbrian became Rosspach. The Rosspach stream is a lush and lively stream that flows down the valley of the same name and empties into the Adige river. The route, surrounded by a dense forest of red firs, leads us to get to know it. It is also suitable for families with children aged 6/8 and above.

The beauty of this route lies in its naturalistic, historical, and religious aspects. It takes us to the upper valley of Rio Cavallo, into the bed of the Rosspach stream, then it leads us up to the plateau bringing us to the village of Francolini (formerly known as Vallorsara) and, by a comfortable dirt road, to the Sanctuary of Madonna delle Grazie (16th century). Finally, it returns us to Folgaria from the east, following the beautiful and comfortable path of the Via Crucis.
