835 - Scalata Monte Maggio

Among the many routes of Alpe Cimbra, this is certainly one of the most beautiful, scenic, and exciting! However, keep in mind that it is not an easy ride — you will be cycling on exposed trails, beneath which lie cliffs and steep slopes. Therefore, it is suitable only for those who can confidently handle their bike. Have a great ride!

It is said that on clear days, especially after a nighttime thunderstorm, you can see the Venice lagoon from the summit of Monte Maggio. Don’t believe it? Of course, you need to be lucky to catch the right day, but when it happens, you can clearly see the sun’s reflection on the lagoon! Monte Maggio, a peak in Italy’s Lower Trentino region. A hundred years ago, the Austro-Italian border ran here. The large cross and the trenches remind us of that. What a view from this height! <p>The return route, on our MTB, takes us through a beautiful forest environment, passing the pastures of Malga Melegna, skimming past Lake Coe (a refreshing stop at the Hangar Bar), and climbing up to the pass. Did you know that at the Osteria Coe and La Stua restaurants, the pies and cake slices are out of this world?</p>
