Easy and scenic route near Folgaria that passes through Maso Spilzi, a 17th-century building, the golf course, the Ecken biotope, and the Sanctuary of Madonna delle Grazie. It is a short journey through history, culture, and nature.
“Bios” means life and “Topos” means place in ancient Greek… so “Biotope” is a place full of life! The route leads to the Ecken biotope, a unique wetland area in Trentino. Here it is possible to see the capercaillie or giant ditch frog or the rare rock partridge. A dirt road will lead you into a wild spruce forest. Then, the Sanctuary of Madonna delle Grazie, the sanctuary of the Madonna delle Grazie, the patron of Italy's skiers. It is a sacred place and tranquility is highly valued.
