8 - At Guardia, the painted village

It is one of the most fascinating places in the Alpe Cimbra where history blends with nature, art, and culture. Guardia is the 'painted village', a name that refers to the many murals that color the walls of the houses in the small village which was once a lookout post for the Beseno castle. A route suitable also for families with children aged 6/8 and above.

It ranks among the most beautiful and rewarding routes in the Alpe as it allows you to walk in a fresh forest environment (the 'dark' Gon forest), among streams and brooks (the Rio Cavallo and Rio Mous), up to the panoramic Stock hill, the exciting Ofentol waterfall and finally Guardia, the painted village, the village of murals.
