7 - Camini circuit
Ideal route for those who love hiking in high mountain environments, in open spaces, surrounded by wide panoramas. The landscape is therefore the main reason for this itinerary but also the history, since it allows us to visit the Austro-Hungarian forts (World War 1914-1918) of Sommo Alto and Dosso delle Somme.
The first stretch, up to Forte Dosso delle Somme, takes place on a semi-flat path. The most challenging part is the central section, from the point where you leave the wide basin of Fondo Piccolo to climb to the summit of Dosso della Martinella, which is an average ascent. After that, you walk in a very pleasant natural and panoramic environment along the ridges of the Folgaretani hills until the return. Camini is the name of the mountain restaurant situated shortly after the start.
