5 - Laitelar-Piccoli loop
The Cimbrian word Lait means mountain slope, hillside. The Laitelar path is therefore a trail that descends a slope, in this case the steep slope that descends from Masi di sotto into the underlying Astico valley, up to the characteristic village of Piccoli.
It is a route that combines signs of history (the Cimbrian Laste, a stol - rock shelter from the Great War, the nineteenth-century church of Piccoli, the Còvelo di Rio Malo) with the beauty of the panorama opening onto the valley. A route that retraces centuries-old traces of those who moved from the mountain to the plain and vice versa, descending or rising the deep valley groove of the Astico stream.
