4 - Chimneys Circuit
During the First World War (1914-1918) the area surrounding Forte Belvedere Gschwent was home to various logistical service structures, including, on the slope leading up to the Passo del Cost, a barracks used as a bread oven. Only the tall concrete chimneys remain from the structure, hence the name of the location, Camini.
It is a short route that combines interest in historical artifacts related to the First World War with naturalistic and landscape interest. Also recommended for families with children aged 8 and over. It is worth combining the excursion with a visit to the nearby Forte Belvedere Gaschwent and the Museum of the Fortresses of the Plateaus.
