27 - Monte Maggio route
<p>Monte Maggio peak of Italy. Here, at 1853 m altitude, until 1918 passed the Austro-Italian national border. It is a peak overlooking the Veneto-Vicenza valleys and the wide plain that extends to Venice. A large cross on the summit commemorates the many Italian and Austrian fallen of the Great War.</p>
<p>There are many reasons that can push us to climb to the summit of Monte Maggio. First of all the beauty of the places, the vastness of the panoramas, the signs of history. It is one of the most beautiful and easy alpine hikes of Alpe Cimbra, capable of offering exciting views over the upper Val di Terragnolo and the Pasubio mountain massif. On particularly clear days, from the summit of the mountain you can see the reflection of the sun on the Venice lagoon.</p>
