22 - Mezzomonte Geomorphological Path
The retreat of the glacier mass that covered the Adige valley in very ancient times caused, on the underlying layers, engravings and moraine deposits. The Mezzomonte Geomorphological path leads us to glimpse some of these signs, particularly the glacial potholes of the Cason and the moraine deposit of the Noz.

The route starts from the settlement of Mezzomonte, on the middle Rio Cavallo valley, touches the rocky spur of the Cason under which the glacial potholes are located, then descends to Lower Mezzomonte and continues along the road leading to the Ondertol farm. Shortly beyond the village, on the right, the large moraine deposit of the Noz is visible. The itinerary continues to the Rio Cavallo stream near which the wide overhanging rock walls showing the striations left by the glacier mass are visible.
