#12) From Damiano Chiesa Refuge to Polsa

<p>Stage of good mileage but mostly downhill, easy and smooth. The passage around Bocca d'Ardole, overlooking the Adige valley, is very pleasant. </p>

<p>Starting from the Damiano Chiesa Refuge, at 2080 meters altitude, the route offers the best view of Lake Garda from its natural balcony. From there, descend on a comfortable forest road to the Graziani Refuge at 1400 meters altitude, following the paths of the Alpini. Along the route, you may encounter fallow deer, hares, and marmots, and admire various species of flowers and plants. From Bocca del Creer descend towards the Corna Piana reserve, at Malga Bès, where wide gently sloping meadows lead to the start of the Viper Trail, where the view extends over the entire Brentonico Plateau, with the San Valentino pass just below and the Corno della Paura not far away. Once reached, you can admire important military galleries leading to Bocca d'Ardole where the updraft wind of the underlying Adige valley pushes migratory birds through. Leaving the view of Vallagarina on the right, you pass the large cross and continue towards Monte Vignola, then return towards Baita Montagnola and descend the ridge to the locality of Polsa.</p>
