1 - Lavarone Trekking

The toponym Lavarone does not identify a main town, but rather the territory (covering 25 sq km) that extends in the center of the Alpe Cimbra, between the municipalities of Folgaria and Luserna. And like all the territories of Cimbrian origin, it is dotted with small hamlets, as many as 18, heirs of the first farmstead settlements founded by the ancient German colonists (13th - 14th century). <p> </p>

The trail called Lavarone Trekking, which develops along rural roads, connects the peripheral Lavarone hamlets to the central ones and vice versa. It is divided into four segments: <b>Oberof, Stickel, Laste, Lago</b>. It allows you to learn about the typical products of the farms that contributed to its creation. Points of interest include the historic centers of Bertoldi and Gionghi, the Austro-Hungarian cemetery of Slaghenaufi, Forte Belvedere Gschwent, the various votive chapels encountered along the route, churches and rural chapels, the lake, and the characteristic "laste," stone boundaries typical of areas with German-Cimbrian tradition.
