Dolomiti Paganella Bike
3 Bike Zones turn into 1 Bike Area
A favourite destination amongst the riding community. it offers many opportunities for any kind of riders in an amazing setting.
The bike park first started to take shape in 2010, initially with the idea of reusing dormant mountain paths and cattle tracks as part of the trail network. Subsequently it evolved into what is today a favourite destination amongst the riding community brimming with world-class trails and modern facilities. This vast park includes 3 main riding zones.
1) FAI ZONE
Historic location, Fai della Paganella boasts 3 well-known technical trails, Easy Rider, Arancia Meccanica & Apocalypse Now and the flow trail “Peter Pan”.
2) MOLVENO ZONE
A project started in 2016 and completed in 2017 with 3 fantastic flow trails: Big Hero, Blade Runner and Goonies. This area is considered the easiest in the whole area.
3) ANDALO ZONE
A newly developed area with its latest addition the Willy Wonka trail that promises a white-knuckle downhill ride. Three further tracks are planned to be developed in the next two years.
The three zones are connected by single-trails (shared with non-riders), generally best for trail bikes and all-mountain (enduro) bikes.
Trails: see key words and technical descriptions
1) FAI DELLA PAGANELLA ZONE
▲Peter Pan – length 3,3 km – elevation 1430m – vertical drop 390m
The first flow trail of the Dolomiti Paganella Bike Area, open in 2016. Rollers, fast berms, jumps and drop offs are the trail’s staple features. Rock gardens and roots are instead absent. Suitable for beginners, the trail attracts also expert riders who can experiment and unleash some pedal power. A relentless trail that guarantees fun at every corner.
▲Easy Rider – length 2,5 km - elevation 1430m – vertical drop 390m
This flow trail is considered a “downhill school” offering flow sections alternated to technical elements. Wide berms and jumps provide endless fun to intermediate/advanced riders who can put their skills to the test. Some parts link with the Peter Pan trail.
♦ Arancia Meccanica – length 2,2 km – elevation 1430m – vertical drop 390m
Technical trail that requires advanced skills therefore not suitable for beginners. It features drops of different gradients, north shores, rooty terrain and tricky rock gardens.
♦♦ Apocalypse Now – length 1,9 km - elevation 1430m – vertical drop 390m
An extremely technical and fast paced trail, only for expert riders. Tough and equally thrilling, this trail is designed for “old school” riders. Here, rock gardens and other obstacles won’t keep you waiting. The trail successfully hosted twice a stage of the downhill championship Gravitalia.
2) MOLVENO ZONE
● Big Hero – length 1,8 km – elevation 1520 m – vertical drop 130m
The easiest trail in the area, designed and built for a fun ride and ideal to learn the ABCs of gravity riding. A single trail alternating berms and rollers of similar level of difficulty, perfect for beginners.
■ Blade Runner – length 2,1 km – elevation 1370 m – vertical drop 210m
An intermediate flow trail offering a roller coaster effect! Jumps, berms, rollers and fast sections are the main features. Easy to ride but be ready to get on the breaks!
■ Goonies – length 1 km – elevation 1160 m – vertical drop 90m
A natural flow trail perfect for intermediate riders presenting no particularly difficult gradients although few surprises are in store like roots and a single trail section through the wood’s undergrowth. The trail leads to the start of the bike park.
3) ANDALO ZONE
▲Hustle & Flow powered by Crankbrothers – 2.7 km – elevation 1,764 m – vertical drop 308 m
A brand new intermediate flow trail of almost 3 km, packed with bumps and spectacular sharp dips, beginning with majestic views of the Brenta Dolomites before delving into the beautiful forested landscape. The trail starts at Doss Pelà (the station above Paganella 2001 cable car that arrives from Andalo) and ends at Pian del Dosson. From here, the Willy Wonka flow trail will bring you back down to Andalo.
■ Willy Wonka – length 4,4 km – elevation 1455 m – vertical drop 490 m
The latest addition to the Dolomiti Paganella Bike Area, an easy/intermediate trail combining fun and safety for all types of riders with the bonus of a picturesque wood landscape. Beside the spectacular north shore, adventuring through the canyon makes for a mind-blowing experience, the stunning beauty of the landscape plays a big role. Brimming with sharp berms and jumps, this trail guarantees a fun ride!
■ Zanna Bianca – 3 km – elevation 1,330 m – vertical drop 300 m
This brand new intermediate flow trail that expands on the Andalo Zone in the Prati di Gaggia area; it is almost 3 km long, and runs through dense forest from Prati di Gaggia (the station above the Valle Bianca cable car that arrives from Andalo) to Andalo.
