MP and Black Weather Band
Live performance by the group that reinterprets and modernises the lessons of New Orleans and folk bands to Chicago Blues, fusing music with movement and choreography
The band, led by renowned singer-drummer Mario "Mitraglietta", offers a lively and enthralling show with a rich sound ranging from New Orleans rhythms (blues, zydeco, cajun and funky) to Chicago Blues. Critics describe him as an experienced showman, the author of festive and original zydeco, the rhythm'n'blues of the Louisiana Francophones. The combination of his musical extras is an undoubtedly fascinating attraction, made all the more captivating by a rhythmic wave full of timbral colourations, Caribbean-flavoured sounds, languid Cajun pronunciation and the carnivalesque eccentricity of his singing. All complemented by a keen sense of comedy and an uncommon ability to engage the audience.
Free admission. In case of bad weather at the events pavilion in front of Hotel Vael.
