Mountains and Full Moon in Summer

If you are passionate about walking and looking to enjoy a magical experience beneath a red setting sun, later illuminated by the glow of the full moon, join our nighttime excursions on the mountain overlooking Vallagaria — complete with a traditional dinner in a mountain hut.

In addition to the classic mountain clothing and hiking boots, we also recommend bringing a headlamp and a drink to rehydrate during breaks along the trail.

Friday 13th of June: Monte Baldo – Rifugio Malga Campei

After passing the meadows of Festa, the path climbs up steeply, among the green beech leaves. The walk continues in the wood, at the discovery of the northern slope of Mount Baldo, until reaching the wide open spaces of the pastures, and the panoramic balcony in which Malga Campei is located (1470 m), where guests will have dinner. The return route follows either the same path as the ascent or an easy mule track.

Friday, 11th of July: Monte Altissimo – Rifugio D. Chiesa

You will climb up the ridge along the most beautiful path of Monte Altissimo di Nago, overlooking Lake Garda on one side and dominating the Aviana Valley on the other. You will pass wild places until you reach the summit (2078 m) and then the D. Chiesa refuge where you will stop for dinner. Return from the easy military road downhill.

• Return: Rif. Graziani, 11.30 pm

Saturday 9th of August: Monte Baldo – Rifugio Fos-ce

The guide will take you among the beeches tree, and the pastures of Monte Baldo, on a gentle path that, after the initial descent, climbs up to “Rifugio Fos-ce”, where guests will have dinner. The return trip is planned on the old easy military route that leads back to the starting point.

• Meeting point: Passo San Valentino, at 5.30 pm
• Return: Passo San Valentino, at 10.30 pm approx.
• Arrival at the mountain hut for dinner: at 8.00 pm approx.

Saturday 6th of September: Monte Zugna – Rifugio Malga Zugna

The guide will take you along the paths, and the mule tracks dating back to the First World War, up to the peak of Monte Zugna (1865mt). Along the way guests will find old artifacts and artillery positions, until reaching the peak of Monte Zugna: A perfect spot to take in the view as the last light of day fades into the night. The return follows an easy mule track leading to the mountain hut, where dinner will be served.
