Marc Ribot and the C'mon Tigre headline a weekend of great music with Teatro Capovolto

For the weekend of 26 and 27 July, the "Teatro Capovolto", the summer season of the Teatro Sociale programmed by the Centro Servizi Culturali Santa Chiara di Trento, puts a weekend of great music on the calendar. Two extraordinary proposals, two world-class concerts that will embellish the splendid setting of Piazza Cesare Battisti in Trento.

We begin on Friday, July 26 with Marc Ribot, cult guitarist and stylistically versatile artist, whose status could be summarized by simply listing some of the leading figures who have made use of his talent: Tom Waits, John Zorn, Elvis Costello, David Sylvian or Vinicio Capossela, among many others. Marc Ribot will bring one of his most electrifying projects to the Teatro Capovolto, the irresistible trio The Jazz-Bins. Completed by the Hammond organ of the tightrope walker Greg Lewis and the drums of the young Joe Dyson, the trio explodes with dense grooves and creative improvisation, which recall both the Sparky's jazz club in Newark and the New York temple of CBGB punk, for an authentic overcoming of genres and definitions.

Jazz-Bins do not go exactly "to the old" but "to the future", to draw on a scene that has never really existed (says Ribot: "which should have existed, will exist and exists every time people abandon their preconceptions about "gender"long enough to feel the groove"), and on a vibration that has never really stopped. Appointment then in Piazza Battisti to discover the umpteenth wonder of Marc Ribot!

On Saturday 27 July, however, it will be the turn of the music of C 'mon Tigre. Fusion of energies and languages, the C 'mon Tigre project is ready to invite the audience of the Teatro Capovolto to a multisensory and dancing collective rite, between Afrobeat, jazz, funk and influences from Brazilian music.

A collective that for 10 years has continued to evolve and push its boundaries, collaborating with some of the most talented artists in the world of music and the visual arts, Cimon Tigre has proved to be a dynamic force in the world of contemporary music, surprising and essential for those looking for unique and frontier musical experiences.
