Forte Pozzacchio: events and openings
Shows, meetings and special tours in the last fortress of the Austro-Hungarian Empire
Fort Pozzacchio offers major events in addition to the calendar of guided tours.
The Fort, built by the Austrian commands, was disputed with the Italian side, which occupied it for a year before returning it to the Hapsburg Empire until the end of the conflict. Inside, arranged on three levels: large underground shelters, numerous service rooms, connecting staircases and artillery emplacements. There are spectacular views from the large loopholes: Vallarsa, the Leno Valleys, Pasubio, the Little Dolomites, Passo Buole and Monte Zugna.
Events at Fort Pozzacchio
- Guided tour: every Sunday from 26 May to 20 October and 15 August
- Night-time tours: 22 June, 27 July, 17 August, 21 September
- Hunting in history: 16 June, 18 August, 24 August, 22 September, 20 October
