Portobeseno
A day-long sound
On Saturday, September 6th, the music of nine musicians will resonate within the walls of Castel Beseno for twelve hours, through solo and collective performances, in a crescendo that will transform the area into a space of acoustic propagation.
Portobeseno, a festival born in 2004 against the backdrop of Castel Beseno, celebrates over twenty years of cultural and sonic activity in Trentino. This is not just an event, but a participatory process that weaves together history, landscape, and community through electroacoustic music and environmental sounds. Castel Beseno, an active protagonist, is transformed into a character-place that tells its own story through sound installations, walks, and immersive performances, bringing forth a sonic identity rooted in the territory.
Un Suono Lungo un Giorno (A day-long sound) will take place on the 6th of September, 2025, from 10 am to 10 pm. A sonic marathon featuring nine musicians: Emilio Galante, Roberto Laneri, Walter Zanetti, Angelo Contini, Francesco Paladino, Tiziano Popoli, Francesco Giannico, Giuseppe Caprioli, and Mauro Pedron. The event will explore sound as vibration, breath, and medicine, evoking a mystical experience of connection with nature.
Portobeseno continues to stand out as an immersive, educational, and participatory opportunity; intertwining electroacoustic music, sound installations, and soundscapes, while enhancing memory and the value of place.
