The Christmas Market in Trento is the place where dreams come true, where the scent of wood and mountains mixes with the taste of sweets and the warmth of vin brûlé. Where time stands still and allows children and adults to experience the joy of Christmas. The Trento Market with its characteristic little houses is located in the heart of the city, in Piazza Fiera and Piazza Mostra.
Trento is full of magic: sparkling lights, scents of spices and traditional sweets envelop the city in a Christmas charm. The Christmas Market, the experiences in the museums and many activities dedicated to visitors give unique emotions and the authentic warmth of the Holidays.

The festive air and the Christmas decorations, the wooden houses and the scent of mulled wine: Christmas envelops the center of the "City of the Council" with a warm atmosphere between precious decorations and a sparkle of lights, in search of quality products and traditional specialties.
Now in its 31st edition, the Trento Christmas Market is attentive to environmental sustainability and boasts the presence of exhibitors with strong artisanal roots and attentive to the enhancement of local food and wine, who know how to refer to the past, also offering ideas for the future.
The first edition of the Trento Christmas Market took place in 1993 and since then the idea of proposing products to "decorate and celebrate" Christmas has grown enormously to become the driving element of "Trento, city of Christmas": a rich billboard of musical and cultural initiatives and events, events with taste, activities for adults and children, various places dressed up and enhanced by lights and decorations.

Opening and closing hours to the public:
The Christmas Market of Trento is open every day in the indicated period, from 10.00 to 20.00; while on Fridays and Saturdays only the gastronomic area (food and drink administration) of both squares is open from 10.00 to 21.00; the remaining houses also on Fridays and Saturdays observe the opening hours from 10.00 to 20.00.
Extraordinary openings/closures:
- on December 7, 2025 and January 5, 2026, only the gastronomic center, of both squares, is open from 10:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m., while the artisans/traders center from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.;
- on 24 and 31 December 2025, the entire Market is open from 10 am to 6 pm;
- on Christmas Day the entire Market is open from 3.00 pm to 8.00 pm.
