The Christmas markets of the "Fata"
Moena, the "Fairy of the Dolomites", becomes a magical Christmas village with wooden houses, travelling shows, treats and children's carousels
Following a Northern European tradition, the "Fairy of the Dolomites" is transformed into a true Christmas village, with festive market stalls set up across Moena's main squares: "Piaz de Ramon", "Piaz de Sotegrava" and "Perla Alpina". From 29 November to 5 January, you can stroll through the charming, lantern-lit streets of the town centre until late afternoon, surrounded by small bonfires and 17 traditional wooden chalets offering handicrafts and delicious local treats - perfect for remembering a magical stay in Moena. Children will love the miniature train, the merry-go-round with forest elves, and a variety of cheerful shows. The festive mood is further enhanced by travelling musical performances, starting with the grand opening on Saturday 29 November.
And that's not all: on Saturday 6 and Sunday 7 December, from 4pm to 7pm, starting from the "Piaz de Ramon" square, you can treat yourself to a romantic carriage ride. The coachman will take you from one square to another, passing through the characteristic district of "Turchia": a special way to experience the town decorated with lights and the atmosphere of Advent. The service is subject to a charge: € 5 for adults and € 3 for children.
