Maratona dles Dolomites-Enel

For years, the Maratona dles Dolomites-Enel has been an unmissable event for the 8,000 lucky cyclists drawn by lot from among the thousands of applications, equally divided between Italians and foreigners. In addition to these, there are 200 special registrations at a higher price, the entire proceeds of which will be donated to charity. On Sunday 6 July at 6:30 a.m., athletes and enthusiasts will set off from La Villa to cross the finish line in Corvara, tackling seven legendary Dolomite passes in a single day - Pordoi, Sella, Campolongo, Falzarego, Gardena, Valparola and Giau - all strictly closed to traffic. But as well as being a competitive challenge, the Marathon is a real celebration of cycling in the Ladin valleys, a tribute to cycling and to the extraordinary beauty of the UNESCO Dolomites.

Those aiming for victory compete on the long route, the 138 km marathon with a height difference of 4,230 m. For those looking for a less demanding experience, there is the medium 106 km (3,130 m of difference in altitude) or the short, the famous Sellaronda of 55 km with 1,780 m of difference in altitude. On Saturday 5 July, the Marathon will also be thinking of the little ones with the Marathon for Kids, organised by Sportful to introduce children to sport and support the Dynamo Camp foundation. But what makes this event truly special is the desire to promote sport in a unique natural arena, while raising awareness of ethical and environmental issues. In fact, sustainability has always been one of the pillars of the Marathon. Edition after edition, new initiatives are introduced to reduce the environmental impact and make the event increasingly ecological. And every year, the event is accompanied by a common thread that characterises its identity. The theme chosen for 2025 is "Lüm - Luce" (Light), a symbol of energy, awareness and change.

Road closures are established by the prefectures of Bolzano, Trento and Belluno and guaranteed until the passage of the end-of-the-line car. Refreshment point, mechanical and medical assistance at the Sella Pass until 11:15.
