At Alpe Lusia, facing the majestic spectacle of the Pale di San Martino, where the peaks kiss the sky, the air smells of freedom and the wind dances among the peaks, a unique event comes to life: an exciting display of the ancient art of falconry, which will enchant spectators and pay tribute to the power, elegance and pride of birds of prey. Dizzying dives, lightning turns, silent glides: every movement defies gravity, transforming into a perfect choreography between sky and earth. With a rustle of wings and a sharp call, the falcons will take flight, guided with surprising complicity by their falconers. An ancient, deep bond based on mutual respect and knowledge between man and animal. A journey rooted in history: the first evidence of falconry dates back to ancient Mesopotamia and China, while in the Middle Ages it became a symbol of nobility and refinement. Practised by rulers such as Charlemagne and Henry I of Germany, it reached its peak at the court of Frederick II, where falconry was elevated to the art of hunting.
How to reach Lusia Pass: from the top cabin lift station at "Le Cune" (two sections: Ronchi-Valbona + Valbona-Le Cune), the refuge can be reached with a short walk of about 20 minutes. To return, you can follow the same route or walk down to "Valbona" (and from there return to "Ronchi" by cabin lift), or continue on foot directly to "Ronchi".
Price: free activity, organised by "SIF Lusia Spa" lift company. Registration not required. Participants are responsible for the cost of the cabin lift tickets.
