Christmas concert in the church
The men's choir from Moena performs an exciting a cappella concert featuring Christmas classics, mountain tunes, and popular songs
The "Enrosadira" Choir of Moena invites you to experience an evening that celebrates music and the true spirit of Christmas, with a concert that will warm your heart. The evocative setting of the San Vigilio parish church will make this appointment even more exciting. The repertoire of the choir, passionately directed by Maestra Barbara Pedortti, will range from mountain carols, traditional melodies and Christmas songs, performed with refined mastery a cappella. A special touch will be given by performances in the Ladin language, including the moving "Te cianal de legn", a work by local composer Luigi Canori. Enriching the evening will be the children from Moena, who will receive the sacrament of First Communion in May. With spontaneity and sweetness, they will share auspicious thoughts prepared during catechism. Their words, simple and sincere, are born thanks to the guidance of Don Devis and the precious help of some mothers from the community.
At the end of the concert, it is worth stopping in front of the crib, skilfully crafted by local artisans. Every detail tells of the tradition and richness of the Dolomites, with scenes of life that seem to come alive, as if the work of the craftsmen themselves gave them a second soul. The figures, modelled with great care, fit perfectly into the context of the church, creating an extraordinary balance between sacredness and tradition.
The concert starts at 8.45 pm, admission is free.
