To close an exciting double summer tour, Carmen Consoli (or as she likes to call herself, the cantantessa) will put on a special concert on the green expanse of Camp Centener. A lush expanse at high-altitude and popular with hikers, Camp Centener is the ideal place to bid farewell to the summer and welcome a new year of music with I Suoni delle Dolomiti.
This perceptive singer-songwriter from Catania is a folk and pop artist at heart, with hints of rock and a distinctively husky voice. Here, she immerses herself in nature and gives her repertoire a unique twist. Consoli's voice holds a distinct place in Italian music history, having produced hits that have left a mark on the nation’s collective memory. One of the most famous is Confusa e felice, but there are dozens more, all born from her need to tell stories and express herself in the good and bad of a society that produces poetry and beauty as well as pain and torment. A society with its dark sides, but one which Carmen Consoli’s sensitive lyrics do not shy away from.
How to get there
from Madonna di Campiglio (direction Campo Carlo Magno), with the extraordinary opening of the Grostè cable car up to the 1st section, with continuous opening hours from 8.30am to 5.20pm.
From the 1st section you arrive at Rifugio Boch, 25 minute walk, difference in altitude 50 metres, difficulty E. Paid parking near the facility while places are available.
On foot, from the Spinale car park, you reach Malga Fevri and continue up to Camp Centener. Travel time approximately 3 hours, altitude difference 560 metres.
