A thick programme of skiing, activities on the snow and fun compose the new edition of the festival which in March celebrates telemark skiing in Val di Fassa
The Scufoneda, with its unmistakable "Scufoneda People" spirit, is the freeride skiing and telemark festival in Val di Fassa.

These are the essential information - but there is much more to say about it - about the Scufoneda, the festival now in its 29th edition, which celebrates free-heel skiing. The event, organised by the very active association of the "Scufons del Cogo" in Moena, led by Felice Canclini - The President - has been continuously enriched over time with new content and innovations, attracting around 400 participants over the weekend. This liveliness has contributed to its popularity, even abroad, among telemark enthusiasts, freeride lovers and those who see the mountains as the ideal place to be in contact with nature, where every turn is a return to freedom.
The programme includes:
- ski experience for experts
- freeride excursions with mountain guides vintage skiing (the "Scufons" are famous for their early 20th-century Ladin clothing with original wooden skis and poles)
- lessons for pro telemarkers with FISI Co.Scu.Ma. national instructors
- equipment testing with the best companies in the industry, in the Scufons Village at San Pellegrino Pass
- free basic lessons for beginners of all ages, organised by the Dolomiti di Moena Ski School
- free guided snowshoe walks for those who love walking in the snow
And that's not all: every day there will be a party combined with a gastronomic event:
- Friday 13 March at Chalet Valbona at Alpe Lusia, "Alpine buffet"
- Friday 13 March at the Bistrò Faloria in Moena, "Scufoneda classic"; to follow at the Bistrò Matisse, "Chic Party - Trento DOC and gourmet chocolate"
- Saturday 14 March at Baita Paradiso at San Pellegrino Pass, "Magna e tasi"
- Saturday 14 March at the Chalet Cima Uomo at San Pellegrino Pass, "Mari tra i monti e fiaccole"
- Sunday 15 March at 4 p.m. on the terrace of the Hotel Cristallo at San Pellegrino Pass, Alpine snack to mark the end of Scufoneda 2026, the start of the countdown to the 30th edition and the symbolic departure of the "Scufons" torch, which will travel across the Alps until its return to Moena the following year
The programme is set and the spirit is already right: telemark skiing, nature, friendship, mountain culture, snow to share. Follow them, "Fratelli e Fratelle", and get ready to ski outside the box.
