The year 2025, Oriente Occidente Dance Festival’s 45th year, inaugurates a new three-year period. In continuity with the three-year period dedicated to the Mediterraneans, we shift the focus from a geographical and geopolitical perspective to a newly human one, one that puts bodies back at the centre in their less represented narratives, in their less seen spaces, in their more multifaceted identities.
From the 3rd to the 13th of September 2025 we will welcome artists who embody this vision. Previews: François Chaignaud, Cirque Baobab, Yoko Omori.

As every year, the artistic programming is flanked by a cycle of conferences and talks that enriches the cultural proposal of Oriente Occidente and that crosses the same themes addressed on the theatre stages in an in-depth form. Take a look at the programme!
Accessibility and sustainability
Oriente Occidente is a promoter of projects and actions that weave together accessibility and sustainability. New for the 2025 edition is the creation of accessibility material for audiences with neurodivergences and cognitive disabilities thanks to expert advice: introduction kits will be produced for some performances and preparation meetings will be organised so that people can enjoy the most suitable performances with the necessary tools.
In terms of motor accessibility, all performance venues have detailed descriptions to make people aware of the spaces that will welcome them, the studio and theatres have seats reserved for people with reduced mobility and in wheelchairs, independent access to the entrance foyer, stalls and toilets, and reserved parking in the immediate vicinity.
