Have you ever dreamed of riding in a real snowcat and discovering what happens on the slopes after the lifts close? Now you can!
With our guided snowcat tours, you’ll have the chance to sit beside a real snow groomer operator and take part in one of the most fascinating — and essential — jobs in the mountain world.
The experience is available by reservation only, with departures from Passo Coe at 5:00 PM, for a maximum of two people per vehicle. The entire tour lasts about 30 minutes, just enough to immerse yourself in a world of technology, precision, and passion.
As the sun sets behind the peaks and the slopes empty, the real magic begins. The villages of Alpe Cimbra light up, while our 20 snowcats silently begin their vital task: grooming the slopes for the next day.
With skill and precision, the operators maneuver these powerful machines using front blades, tracks, and rear tillers, taking into account many factors: temperature, humidity, snow depth, and quality.
Each slope is different and requires special attention.
By hopping aboard, you’ll learn all the secrets of this craft — from the snowcat controls and instruments to grooming techniques that ensure perfectly prepared pistes every morning.
It’s a behind-the-scenes job, but essential to providing skiers with safety and enjoyment.
