The Rifugio rises in the upper part of Val Genova, unanimously known as the most beautiful valley in the Adamello-Brenta Nature Park. From here the eye sweeps toward the vedretta, from which the Sarca River, tributary of Lake Garda, rises. Above the glaciers emerge the three tectonic alignments of Lake Mingo - Lares - Care' Alto, Lobbie - Dosson - Monte Fumo, and Adamello - Lagoscuro. The latter is also the name of a lake of glacial origin located upstream of the refuge. Mandron's location is strategic for glacier hiking. The refuge is also often open in the spring period to encourage attendance by ski mountaineers. In early summer, the small lakes are embellished with the white plumes of eriophorus, while in late summer, the glacier mouth discharges an impressive amount of water into the valley. A beautiful little church, built from local granite, completes the landscape surrounding the hut, and is a coveted and recommended destination. Our strong point is the super breakfast, which will be super-strengthened, to enable our hikers and mountaineers, to face their destinations in top form.

Arrival
From Carisolo by car along the Val Genova road (17 km) to Malga Bedole (car park) and then on foot on path no. 212 (2 ½ hours). In summer there is a shuttle bus (charge applies) and a toll for cars (info www.pnab.it). From Passo Tonale by cable car to Passo del Paradise and then on foot on path no. 209 up to Passo Maroccaro then down to the refuge (2 ½ hours).
