Getting around in Trentino

Our smart guide to travelling to and around the main ski areas

Getting around in Trentino in winter

Travelling around Trentino is very easy also in winter. There are plenty of options to suit everyone’s needs. You can travel by plane and reach the various ski areas with the FlySki Shuttle service, or hop on a train and be in the heart of the Brenta Dolomites, at 2000m, in only a short time.

If you prefer driving instead, don’t worry, we guarantee clear and safe roads. The snow clearing trucks start ploughing the snow as soon as the first snowflakes start to fall so you can have a safe journey. If you are not up for taking the car you can easily switch to public transports -  thanks to a dense network that covers the region - which are often free if you have a Trentino Guest Card.

Plus, in all major ski areas there is a Skibus service that connects the hotels to the chairlifts for your convenience

Safe driving, the vademecum

It’s time to bust the myth that driving on the snow is dangerous. To be precise, it can be if you don’t adopt some simple measures. In Trentino, the ploughing & gritting trucks get in to action at the first sign of snow falling, so you can rest assured, your holiday will be trouble-free. Find our useful tips here.
