The famous Val di Fassa instructors
Memorable skiing with renowned tutors having the skills of top-ranking skiers like Valeruz and Felicetti
Extreme skiing with one of the best freeriders worldwide or speeding down snow-covered slopes with an instructor, who is also a famous pro skier, slackliner and paraglider. A unique experience you can enjoy while skiing in Val di Fassa, situated in the heart of the Italian Alps.
Amongst the area’s skiing instructors, there are skiing champions who will reveal the most closely guarded secrets of this sport. For instance, Tone Valeruz, a well-known extreme skiing champion, or the freerider Mattia Felicetti.
Best known as Toni Valeruz, he is one of the best extreme skiers, who performed incredible feats in the Seventies and Nineties, including a hundred first descents in the Alps, but also beyond Europe, like the descent of the Makalu, at an altitude of 8.000 metres.
In the Seventies, Valeruz made front-page news due to his first descent of the east wall of the Matterhorn (4.200 m asl) and from the northwest wall of the Gran Vernel.
Now almost seventy, Toni is still very active and brings decades of experience to freeride descents.
Also known for having crossed two icebergs in Greenland on a slackline, Mattia Felicetti is a young ski coach and instructor of the Moena Ski School, but he is also an Alpine rescuer and freerider.
While skiing with him, you can listen to his fabulous accounts of his crossings, hanging in mid-air, walking on 2.5 centimetre-wide flat webbing, amidst thrilling views.
