We’ll follow the Sun

Camping on a lakeside to make the most of the first sunny days

SPRING 2020 – The sun is already shining on your tent door. You zip it open and go out, still sleepy, but longing for a nice breakfast. You smell the scent of fresh grass and the warm sun rays give you an energy boost. You stretch your body and the lake is there in front of you, mirroring the Dolomites. You can’t wait to enjoy another day immersed in nature.

That’s why you have chosen a holiday on the lake and why you have chosen Trentino. Lake Garda, Lake Caldonazzo, Lake Ledro, Lake Molveno, Lake Tenno, Lake Levico … are just some of the almost 300 lakes in Trentino, many of which are suitable for swimming in and have camping areas, with bungalows, pitches and many facilities, ranging from swimming pools to wellness spots. They are perfect back-to-nature breaks, without having to sacrifice small comforts that make your holiday so relaxing

Which one should you choose?

#1

Lake Garda, Camping Brione

Surrounded by olive trees, situated 500 metres from the shores of Lake Garda. This campsite, set in a nature-rich oasis, is perfect for a break from the hustle and bustle of city life. The campsite’s swimming pool, children’s play area, Italian “bocce” (ball sport belonging to the boules family) court, and minigolf course… make it an ideal place for a family holiday.

#2

Lake Levico, Camping Due Laghi

A large campsite with two swimming pools, a private beach and play area for dogs, on the banks of Lake Levico and a short walk from the small town of Levico. It offers stand-up paddle boarding, canoeing or kayaking and, if you want to stay on the mainland, there is also a long cycle path that winds its way between the lake and the countryside.

#3

Lake Caldonazzo, Camping Riviera

This campsite, on the shores of the large lake of Caldonazzo, is an excellent starting point for walks, mountain excursions or a bike ride on the famous Valsugana cycle path. However, if you just want to relax, there are the “Bandiera Blu” beaches of the lake, that is beaches which are certified by the Foundation for Environmental Education as the quality of the lake water and services offered meet its stringent standards.

 #4

Lake Tenno, Campeggio Lago di Tenno

How about a campsite in the hills, a stone’s throw from one of the most beautiful lakes in Trentino? It is ideal for going on walks or taking a dip in the turquoise waters of Lake Tenno, 300 metres away. P.S. If you have a dog, don’t leave it at home because the lake has a small dog-friendly beach!

#5

Lake Ledro, Camping Azzurro

18,000 m² of green, shaded areas on the shores of Lake Ledro, surrounded by mountains. It’s a top choice for those who love fishing, windsurfing, mountain biking and going on nature hikes, but also for those who simply want to relax and sunbathe on the lake beach.
