Between mid-September and mid-October, the mating season begins for adult male deer, when they abandon their usual solitary life and set off in search of a mate.
Accompanied by an experienced territory guide and a local forest ranger, you immerse yourself in the forest in a silence made up of a thousand noises: leaves blowing in the wind, birds singing, crickets chirping… then, suddenly, a raucous, deep cry is heard among the trees. It is the bellowing of the deer.
It is precisely at this time of year that the deer intone their love song in the evening to conquer the females and drive away the other suitors, an incredible spectacle of nature to be seen, but above all to be heard.

- Friday 19th of September – Vallarsa
A journey through authentic flavors and untamed nature. The evening comes to life with a traditional dinner at Hotel Al Passo, where the aromas of mountain cuisine set the tone for the experience. Then, as darkness falls, we’ll be guided to Camposilvano, an enchanting place where deer make their home and the silence of the forest is broken by their powerful mating calls. Here, among pastures and woodlands, the bellowing of the deer becomes a natural concert—an emotional encounter that brings us closer to the ancient rhythm of wild life. The presence of a small wildlife reserve increases the chances of catching a close glimpse of these noble animals, true guardians of the mountains.
Menu: duo of “fioretta” gnocchi with melted butter and sage, and mushroom risotto, “Polenta” with melted cheese, sopressa (Venetian salami), sausage paste, and speck, apple pie, coffee (vegetarian option available on request / children’s menu available: breaded cutlet with French fries)
- Friday 26th of September – Monte Baldo
An intense experience that blends tradition, emotion, and the magic of an autumn night. The evening begins with dinner at Ristorante Pizzeria Pineta, where the genuine flavors of Trentino cuisine set the perfect tone to embrace the spirit of the experience. After dinner, we’ll head to the evocative area of Castel Saiori, one of the most enchanting spots and a favorite haunt for deer during this season. Here, wrapped in the darkness and silence of the forest, we’ll witness the unique thrill of the deer’s bellow, a powerful call that marks the mating season and transforms the mountains into a natural stage.
Menu: tasting of Trentino carne salada, toasted bread with ginger cream, Val Rendena sausage in tomato sauce, slice of polenta, white cabbage, berry tart (vegetarian option available on request)
