Baita Gorck is nestled in the Adamello Brenta Nature Park, the largest protected area in Trentino. - It is located in the Val di San Valentino valley, of rare beauty, made up of meadows, huts, barns, paved roads, streams and huts carved out of dense forest, at the foot of the majestic Carè Alto. The valley takes its name from the Little Church of St. Valentine, built in the 14th century to protect the herds going up to the pastures. The Baita's electricity is 100 percent ecological: 4 volts are generated by a hydroelectric turbine powered by the Rio Malga Geredol stream and 4 volts produced by solar panels. It is a starting point for beautiful hikes: San Valentino Pass (2,765 m), Valle di Cavento, Bivacco Dossòn (2,360 m), Bocca di Conca (2,674 m), Rifugio Carè Alto (2,459 m), Val di Borzago (trail marker No. 222), Passo delle Vacche (2,872 m to descend to Val di Fumo), Costòn della Vallina, Bivacco della Cunei (27 50 m), Malga Geredo (7,773 m).
