Sentinelle di pietra

From Saturday 7 September to Sunday 13 October 2024, the "Stone Sentinels" cycle proposed by the Department of Education, Culture and Sport, Family, Youth and Equal Opportunity Policies of the Autonomous Province of Trento returns with the Cultural Activities and Production Service in collaboration with the Fondazione Museo Storico del Trentino and the Centro Servizi Culturali Santa Chiara di Trento.

It is a rich calendar of events made up of seven shows by companies and artists from the Trentino area such as Collettivo Clochart, Miscele d 'Aria Factory, Paolo Cova, Romina Belli and Alvise Celeste Cova, Il Teatro delle Quisquilie, I Teatri Soffiati, Emit Flesti, and Rifiuti Speciali con il Coro di S. Ilario. This cycle of events will alternate in 15 forts in Trentino between music, theatre and reading for all kinds of audiences.

Theater of unspeakable human dramas, made tangible thanks to an intense work of building restoration, the forts of Trentino are once again ready to welcome the public in spaces full of history and memory, immersed in the sounds and scents of the surrounding nature. An unmissable opportunity to spend a moment of theatrical performance, getting excited again through the stories of history, surrounded by the beauty of nature.

The programme will kick off on Saturday 7 September from Forte Busa Granda in Vignola Falesina (3 pm) with Liberi da morire, a travelling show proposed by Collettivo Clochart, directed and dramatised by Michele Comite. A work made up of several scenes through which the director describes the conditions of the Italian army at the time of the Great War. Each scene will deal with different themes, sometimes in a satirical and grotesque key or realistic and severe, using various artistic languages such as dance, acting and music. The protagonists of the show will be the soldiers of the Italian army and some protagonists of the political and military literary scene such as D'Annunzio, Salandra and Cadorna. The show will also be staged the next day, Sunday 8 September (3.30 pm), at Forte Corno (Valdaone).

On Sunday 8 September, on the other hand, at the Forte Barba di Fior in Peio (2 pm) there will be the Miscele d 'Aria Factory company with Angelo del Soldato, a new immersive-emotional path created by Carlo Casillo and Mariano De Tassis. A show dedicated to all the fallen of the First World War and to all those who, sadly, are still involved, despite themselves, in the mad machine of death and destruction that is war. With the formula of wireless headphones for listening, the audience will be led on an itinerary of emotions where voices, sounds, words and music try to tell and evoke, as much as possible, the fears, pain and loss of the soldiers just before the battle.
