Distribution of race bibs to elite athletes and official opening of the 53rd edition of Marcialonga, the queen of Italian classic technique cross-country skiing races
As per tradition, the opening of the Marcialonga takes place on a rotating basis in the towns of Val di Fiemme and Val di Fassa. This year, Moena will be hosting the event, building anticipation for the next day's race with a special evening at the Navalge Theatre. The 53rd edition will be officially presented here, with musical interludes, projections and videos accompanying the most eagerly awaited moment of the ceremony: the presentation of the top bibs. An opportunity to get into the spirit of the event, meet fellow enthusiasts and breathe in the wonderful tension that precedes the start: this is how the Marcialonga begins, with the community gathering around its symbolic race... and with 70 km ready to welcome over 7,000 participants.
