The classical music of two young violin and viola virtuosos blends with the natural beauty of "Col Bel", one of Fassa's most enchanting views
Sounds of the Dolomites is a unique event. A music festival at high altitude that brings together musicians from all over the world in the most beautiful mountains of the Alps. The idea behind this initiative is simple: to combine the great passions for music, art and the mountains in a cycle of concerts under the banner of freedom and nature.

Programme: making their debut at Sounds of the Dolomites in 2024, the two young talents in this violin and viola duo have already proved a big hit on stages all over the world. They will perform works by Mozart, Paganini, Dvorak, Martinu, Halvorsen and Sollima at 2,410 m above sea level on "Col Bel", in Val di Fassa. The sweeping 360° views encompass all the main peaks in the Dolomites, from the Rosengarten-Catinaccio to Marmolada. Clarissa Bevilacqua is a violinist who enchants audiences with her exceptional musicianship and astonishing technical prowess. She was awarded a Bachelor of Music at the age of 16, then completed a Master of Music in Violin Performance at Mozarteum University in Salzburg. In 2023, she opened Mozart Week with the Mozarteum Orchestra Salzburg.  Acclaimed by The New York Times for her probing introspection and by The Philadelphia Inquirer for her "voluptuous tone", violist Vicki Powell has performed as a soloist with various orchestras and taken part in numerous festivals. She is the recipient of a Gold Award in Music from the National Foundation for Advancement in the Arts.
How to get to Col Bel:
- from Alba di Canazei by the "Ciampac" cabin lift and "Roseal-Giumela" chairlift, then on foot along the ridge trail to "Col Bel" (1 hour, difference in altitude 130 m, difficulty E - easy)
- from Pozza by the "Buffaure" cabin lift and "Col de Valvacin" chairlift, on foot along path no. 613 to "Sela Brunéch" and then along the ridge trail to "Col Bel" (2 hours, difference in altitude 150 m, difficulty E - easy)
Participation is free of charge. We suggest to reach the venue at least one hour before the scheduled time. Adequate high-altitude clothing recommended.
In case of bad weather, the concert will take place at 5.30 p.m. in the multi-purpose hall of the "La Gran Ciasa" community building in Soraga. Free tickets distributed at the entrance from 3.30 p.m. until sold out.
