Trento Film Festival
The 72st Mountain Festival takes place from 28 April to 7 May
The Trento Film Festival of mountain films will take place in Trento from 26 April to 5 May 2024. Founded in 1952, it is the first and oldest international film festival dedicated to the themes of mountains, adventure and exploration.
For this 72nd edition the Manifesto is signed by Ludovica Basso, aka Clorophilla. His imaginary world is populated by magical animals, goddesses, mermaids, shooting stars and mythological women. And it is Woman, understood 'as a creative force from which everything is born and to which everything is connected, a living entity that welcomes us and protects us' who symbolizes the Mountain in this edition's Manifesto.
This year's Destination section is dedicated to Ireland, a land of migration and enchanting landscapes, with an unprecedented look at the contemporary world. The Destinazione project within the Trento Film Festival received the patronage of the Irish Embassy in Italy and Irish Tourism
Trento is thus preparing to welcome the mountain festival to cinemas, squares and other venues around the city, with screenings, literary presentations, children’s workshops and evenings dedicated to mountaineering.
