Winter in Trentino is a story with many faces and many excellences. There are 227 ski lifts, among the most modern in the Alps, serving 800 km of slopes where 90% of snow is always guaranteed from December to April. Two large areas bring together most of Trentino's ski areas: Dolomiti Superski, the largest ski carousel in the world, includes the ski areas of Val di Fassa, Val di Fiemme and San Martino di Castrozza-Passo Rolle. The Skirama Dolomiti Adamello Brenta includes the Campiglio ski area Brenta Dolomites, the largest in Trentino, Alpe Cimbra, Monte Bondone, Paganella, Peio and Passo Tonale.

A series of important interventions concerns all areas of the Campiglio - Dolomiti di Brenta ski area. Retrain, renew, improve aiming for sustainability. If the objective remains that of qualifying the services offered to give an exciting skiing experience to its guests, the interventions promoted by Funivie Pinzolo Spa confirm the company's approach based on social and environmental responsibility. This principle, in fact, links the three projects that represent the innovations of the 2023 - 2024 winter season. The area affected is that of Prà Rodont and Doss del Sabion, where over the summer the old ski lift system was replaced with a new and more modern 10-seater cable car, renovate the valley and mountain stations, harmonizing them with the surrounding landscape and carry out the restyling and expansion of the Rifugio - Ristorante Bar Doss del Sabion, at 2,101 meters above sea level. The new single-cable automatic detachable cable car, with continuous movement, covers the stretch from Prà Rodont to the summit. Among the 53 new cabins, one is equipped with a transparent floor to enjoy a "suspended in space" experience. When designing the system, particular attention was paid to the best environmental integration (fewer number of supports and cabins). The two departure and arrival stations were then completely redone, which were intended to be completely underground, i.e. underground to blend in and blend in with the natural environment. Once you get off the lift, you can get directly to the slopes or go up, via escalators or lift, to the brand new Rifugio Doss del Sabion. A point of reference for skiers looking for refreshment since the opening of the facilities in 1969, the building is now being expanded and made more functional with the creation of a bar overlooking the Brenta Dolomites, a new bistro on the second floor, and a terrace, served by a dedicated kiosk, where you can have lunch "in the open air" to enjoy the unique 360-degree panorama that ranges from the Brenta Dolomites to the Adamello and Presanella massifs. The restaurant will be completely new and will guarantee guests an exclusive experience, with large windows and a strong reference to the territory which will also be found in the gastronomic offer which will focus on the valorisation of local products in a not only traditional but also contemporary way. A structure where attention has also been paid to limiting emissions into the atmosphere and equipped with photovoltaic systems on the roof to reduce energy consumption.

In Madonna di Campiglio, where we continue on the "pay per use" ski pass route, a programmed snowmaking system has been created in the Campo Scuola area of Passo Campo Carlo Magno with latest generation snow generators.

Interventions on the snowmaking system also in the Folgarida Marilleva area now connected to the new Val Mastellina accumulation basin. The programmed snowmaking system of the Belvedere slope has also been completely renovated and has also seen a general restyling aimed at adapting the width and reducing, in the initial part, the slope of the slope in order to facilitate the return of skiers to the valley.

At Passo Tonale the Valena chairlift is replaced by a system of the same type, but with 6-seater chairs.

Paganella also announces important news for the next white season. In the school camp in Laghet di Andalo, the historic two-seater chairlift is flanked by a modern and functional 10-seater detachable cable car called "Baby Express". The new facility, 395m long with a difference in altitude of 113m, will serve the new section of the blue slope dedicated to beginners which starts from "Ferna", just below the "Prati di Gaggia" and connects with the Laghet slope. Added to the project to improve the valley returns which last year saw the doubling of the Gaggia slope and the final stretch of the Cacciatori slope is the expansion of the Olimpionica I slope and the remodeling of the slope surface to make it easier for less experienced skiers too. and improve snowmaking. The replacement of the programmed snowmaking network with the installation of 12 new state-of-the-art snow generators is also planned. In the Dosson Snowpark, however, following the previous expansion works, new structures dedicated to snowboarders and freeriders will be installed. And Paganella Ski invests in renewable energy: three photovoltaic systems have been installed on the roofs of the valley station of the Dosson-Selletta cable car, of the Family Chalet Dosson and of the administrative offices in the village. This intervention will allow the production of approximately 500,000 kWh of sustainable energy per year, equal to what is consumed for the operation of the ski lifts during the summer season, from May to October.

On Monte Bondone the Topolino slope will present itself with a significantly improved skiable surface in terms of mileage.

Moving east, in the Dolomite ski areas, Alpe Cermis renews the cabins of the system that goes up from Cavalese to Doss Laresi, while in the Latemar Ski Center the programmed snowmaking network has been further strengthened, as well as in San Marino where 20 new generation snow guns. Introduction of new technologies for the control of programmed snowmaking networks, strengthening of the same is the common denominator of the interventions in the ski area of Val di Fassa, perhaps not directly perceptible by users, but aimed at making the experience on the Dolomite snow more fun and safe where at the end of February 2024 the women's Alpine skiing World Cup will arrive on the LaVolata slope at Passo San Pellegrino.

On Ciampedìe here is the expansion of the boardercross track and the Cigolade and Tomba slopes. In the Canazei di Belvedere - Col Rodella ski area, a new storage basin was created for the programmed snowmaking network and the "Cinque Dita" slope in the Col Rodella area was improved. On the Buffaure above Pozza di Fassa, work is underway on a new variant of the Panorama slope with attached snowmaking system. In the Ciampac ski area, the Sasso di Rocca 2 and 2 slopes have been equipped with a new programmed snowmaking system and that of the Orsa Maggiore slope has been upgraded. At Passo San Pellegrino, on the Costabella side, the Capanna Margherita and Martinet slopes are improved and equipped with a snow-making system.
