ONDERSTEUNING EN BIJSTAND MEDIA
MEDIA SUPPORT AND ASSISTANCE
The Media PR Department of Trentino Marketing has the mission of promoting international media interest, both offline and online, in Trentino. This is achieved through a range of activities that include the support, planning, and organization of press trips (both individual and group), prompt responses to specific content requests, and the provision of editorial material, ideas, contacts, and images.
PRESS TRIPS
Trentino Marketing is pleased to welcome and support journalists who wish to showcase Trentino as a tourist destination. In collaboration with local tourist boards (“APT”) and partners, it organizes individual and group press trips, including those arranged upon specific request, subject to verification. Each itinerary is customized according to specific needs, with the goal of highlighting the territory’s values and unique characteristics.
Participation Requirements
Press trips are intended for international journalists from print, radio, and television media. To participate, journalists are generally required to provide email confirmation either from their editorial office or from themselves, if they are freelance. The article or program must be published/broadcast within 12 months following the visit. Please note that Trentino Marketing mainly supports media outlets that cover the company’s target audiences and key reference markets.
Organizational Details
Press trips organized by Trentino Marketing usually include a maximum of 4 days of activities with 3 overnight stays. Accommodation and activities (as specified in the individual trip program) are covered by the organizer, as well as meals, unless otherwise agreed. Regarding transportation, Trentino Marketing covers expenses for flights (mainly low-cost airlines) or second-class train travel to and from Trentino. For individual press trips, airport or train station transfers are not included, unless otherwise agreed upon during the itinerary planning phase. Journalists are expected to reach Trento/Rovereto from the airport using public transport (buses or regional trains). Trentino Marketing does not assume responsibility for any delays or cancellations of flights: journalists must contact the airline directly and bear any additional costs. For individual press trips, a rental car may be provided (fuel, extras, and motorway tolls not included). Trentino Marketing does not cover the costs of accompanying partners or family members. In order to evaluate each request and ensure proper organization, we kindly ask to be contacted at least two weeks before the planned arrival in Trentino. Personal data will be processed in accordance with the information notice below.
Insurance Aspects
Outdoor activities require adequate skills and experience suited to the type of activity being carried out. Each participant must also have valid personal insurance coverage for accidents and damage to property or persons. Please note that each participant is solely responsible for all transfers required to reach the destinations included in the press trip, as well as for obtaining suitable insurance coverage against damage to property or persons, including theft.
Recommended Clothing
If the press trip includes outdoor and sports activities, appropriate clothing is necessary. Below are some suggestions on what to bring during a press trip in Trentino:
• For the winter season: warm and comfortable clothing, suitable footwear for the scheduled activities. Ski or other winter sports equipment is usually rented on site.
• For mountain excursions: hiking shoes or boots, wind jacket for bad weather, sunscreen, and trekking poles if deemed useful.
