Turn-by-turn directions

Vigo di Fassa - Rifugio Ciampedie

You take the road that starts right behind the departure station of the Ciampedie ski lift facility.

You follow the road that runs beneath the ski lift and, along the same line, crosses some meadows. At about 1540 m asl, you leave the road, which continues straight, and you turn right (trail 544) “fording” the river (Ruf). You continue to follow trail number 544 which, on a constant incline, allows you to gain elevation rather quickly. Ignoring other minor deviations, you continue along the trail until you reach the panoramic plateau of Ciampedie.

You can return to the bottom on the ski lift or by following the same trail back again.

N.B.: the mountain hut is comfortable to reach from the bottom of the valley using the Ciampedie ski lift or taking the easy walk coming from the Gardeccia along trail 540. Another alternative is to reach the mountain hut by mountain bike, following the forest road that climbs up from Pera di Fassa.

Getting there

SS48 delle Dolomiti coming from Val di Fiemme, or SS41 coming from Bolzano - Val D’Ega. You can leave your car in the parking area of the “Ciampedie” ski lift facilities. The ski lift facility is connected to the town with an escalator that leads directly to the entrance.

Parking

Vigo di Fassa, parking area of the “Ciampedie” ski lift facilities.

Arrival by train, car, foot or bike
