Cima Vezzena (or Pizzo di Levico)
Mountain tour • Valsugana, Lagorai, Vigolana and Valle dei Mocheni
The concrete fortresses built during the First World War serve as the highlights of this itinerary, which follows the mule tracks made by the soldiers who fought in the bloody battles between Italy and Austria-Hungary.
The route touches first the striking Forte di Cima Verle, followed by the Forte Spitz Verle, the sheer size of which has altered the very shape of the slope.
The view from the top is absolutely breathtaking. The central position of the peak allows extensive views over the Valsugana and the Altipiano dei Sette Comuni.
