Stage 2A Dolomiti Trek King - Variant The realm of Conturina

Stage 2A from Contrin Refuge to Fedaia Pass. 6-day self guided hiking tour at high altitude, from refuge to refuge. Discover the Dolomites in Val di Fassa by walking on its most beautiful peaks!

From the Contrin Refuge, descend the Contrin Valley (Val Contrin) through path no. 602 and, just before reaching the village of Penìa di Canazei, turn onto path no. 602/A and then follow path no. 605 in order to go to "Pian Trevisan". From the car park in the nearest of Hotel Villetta Maria, follow the old Austrian military path (no. 619), dig into the rock by the Russian prisoners during World War I. Interestingly, the continual change of landscape that you encounter, passing first in the woods, then the characteristics of dugout shells, and finally heading east, of the rocky slopes at the foot of the Marmolada glacier. Once reached the crossroads with path no. 618, follow this one down to Fedaia Pass. Alternative tracks:  path no. 619 > "Pian de Scalet" > path "Lago Fedaia - Sentiero forestale" or path no. 619 > "Col dal Baranchie" > "Col de Bousch" > Pian dei Fiacconi > Fedaia Pass.
