Mountain wine bars and wine shops

The pleasure of fine drinking amid the lights and piazzas of the villages of Trentino

What’s your Trentino tipple of choice? An effervescent glass of Trentodoc to caress the palate? Or perhaps a foaming craft beer made with crystalline mountain water to quench your thirst? Then there are full-bodied tannic reds like Teroldego Rotaliano and crisp, fragrant whites made from grapes grown at altitude. Not to mention sipping wines redolent with all the sweetness of a late harvest and the aroma of the wind.

No matter how refined your taste, the professionals at our selection of wine bars and shops will be sure to find you a beverage to suit – and maybe they’ll show you a side to Trentino you never knew.

These are ideal spots for breaking your day or rounding it off in style with an essential aperitivo. This time-honoured ritual is about more than the pleasures of the grape: it’s one of life’s little joys that promote the sense of relaxation and good living that every holiday should bring; it’s a well-earned moment of “me time” to relish with your favourite people, at peace with the world and nature – and yourself – amid fantastic landscapes and the fragrances and flavours of the finest food and drink.

And it’s all the more satisfying if you combine the drinks with a few morsels of Trentino tradition. Enjoy our mature farmhouse cheeses, lip-smacking charcuterie like luganega and smoked mortandela, and delicious finger food inspired by the creativity of our chefs.

Indulge yourself with a simple yet tempting treat and raise a glass to your holiday in the hills.

InCantina

Step in off the luminous streets of Pinzolo and you’ll feel like uncorking a good bottle straight away. If not for the arched ceiling, the exposed stonework and the beautiful wood to set it all off in unforgettable style then certainly for the sage selection of fine wines that they always present to best effect. El Molin Winebar & bistrot

An informal yet sophisticated setting where a warm welcome, quality ingredients and great wines flow together in a delicious experience for all the senses. Treat yourself to a visit, maybe after working up an appetite by drinking in the beauty of Cavalese’s old streets and historic buildings.

La mia enoteca

Much more than a wine bar, this is like stepping into the home of your welcoming host, Matteo. Following in the footsteps of his father, Renzo, he’s taking forward the family passion with no little skill. Pull up a chair and savour the vintage labels, the flavours and aromas, and the scent of wood over a goblet or two of wine or a generous tumbler of spirit. Fill up on good things and enjoy the exquisite pleasure of time well spent in this warm, intimate setting in San Martino di Castrozza.

Valle del Chiese brewery

In Storo, Val di Ledro, a young master brewer produces an unfiltered and unpasteurised low-fermentation mountain beer so that it retains its original aromas and flavours.  Moreno Rigacci learnt to respect nature from an early age, and uses only high quality, sustainable ingredients. His Beer Stube is welcoming and informal. The “Helles Bio” is a must-try, made with organically grown barley malt and hops.
