Malga Sass
Traditional dishes in the fir and larch woods
Malga Sass is located at 1950 metres asl, at the top of Valfloriana. Up there, surrounded by Norway spruce forests, larches, and green meadows, you can enjoy a wonderful view of the Cevedale group. In the surrounding meadows, on the other hand, from June to early October, you can see numerous milk cows of the Tyrol Grey breed, grazing freely.
The mountain dairy offers a restaurant service at lunch and dinner (it is necessary to book), with a cuisine characterised by traditional dishes with accurately selected local products.
Malga Sass also has 6 rooms, furnished in wood, with a total of 25 bed places, and two shared bathrooms.
How to get there: you can arrive either from Val di Fiemme or from Civezzano, taking the Val di Cembra exit on the Valsugana state road. In Casatta, in Valfloriana, you turn, following the directions, and climb for about 10 kilometres.
