Malga Candriai
A rearing farm situated on Monte Bondone, at 1000 m a.s.l.
The rearing farm is situated in Candriai, on the north-western side of Monte Bondone, at 1000 m a.s.l.
In addition to breeding Haflinger horses, the owners keeps many other animals: cows, goats and, soon, also farmyard animals. The farmhouse inn offers typical home cooking (cheese, goat sausages, garden products, polenta, stews, horse meat, cakes, jams) and accommodation in six double rooms.
Malga Candriai is also an educational farm.
The educational trail includes the following programme:
visit to stables and sheds: cows, Haflinger horses and farmyard animals; from hay to cheese, at the discovery of meadows, grass and hay, illustration of the forage cycle and the milk processing steps; manual workshop, with the preparation of bread, biscuits and cakes.
