Daniel Zen La Casa
The restaurant, inside the Hotel Daniel Zen La Casa, is located in front of the starting station of the Catinaccio cable car, a short walk from the centre of Vigo.
Daniel Zen is home, in a historical, culinary and welcoming sense. Born here in 1584, Daniel Zen was the only Ladin bishop in the long millennia-long history of the Bishopric of Brixen, whose jurisdiction stretched from South Tyrol to Fassa. Unfortunately, his appointment, lived with great enthusiasm by the Valligiani, lasted only two years (1627-1628); he died prematurely from illness. The cuisine very much follows the homemade flavours, with simple dishes, with authentic flavours, that tell the story of the territory. The menu ranges from traditional canederli to robust meat main courses, from crunchy pizzas to vegetarian and gluten-free proposals, with particular attention to the needs of the little ones. The room, with a beautiful vaulted stone ceiling and a painting of the prince bishop on the wall, is intimate and welcoming. The service is friendly and friendly. Impossible not to return.
