Glamorous restaurants and super-fast lits

Hi-tech and high-speed: a new lift to Ciampac in the Val di Fassa The ski area of Ciampac-Buffaure has always been Canazei’s secret spot. Each morning, most skiers head north from the resort, to tackle the famous Sella Ronda circuit – leaving Ciampac-Buffaure to the south unfairly neglected. Here, Italy meets the Alps, with spectacular gastronomic results.

Dinner here might include olive oil from the shores of Lake Garda, cheese from a mountain dairy, pasta, local venison, and maybe some apple strudel made with an old Hapsburg recipe.

Make winter magical in one of our mountain huts

Get a little closer to the gods…

For a proper taste of the mountains in winter, nothing beats a visit to one of our high-altitude refuges. More than 50 are open this season in Trentino, and you don’t have to be a skier to reach them. You can also hike to them on show-shoes, ride a mountain lift – or jump on the back of a snowcat. Some even make the journey bundled up on the back of a horse-drawn sleigh.
